I am Natalia and I am from Colombia. I love children immensely and I would like to live the Au Pair experience with a family that allows me to be their support in daily activities with their children.

I love children immensely and I would like to live the Au Pair experience with a family that allows me to be their support in daily activities with their children. I live in a city known for its huge Carnival; In addition to its architectural beauty surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, where we eat the typical fried mojarras with patacón, coconut rice, fried foods and many more; a place with many parks and a fairly warm climate which is called Barranquilla.
I am a responsible, organized, very dynamic and happy person. I like to make the most of my time and plan each activity I am going to do, for that reason I am very organized. I am a woman willing to meet goals and challenges. I like to do things with passion, I always give my positive energy to people who need it or to the things I do for myself. I am creative, honest, motivating and good at active listening. I am a person with few friends, but at the same time I am very sociable when I introduce myself, however, I am very selective with the people I seek to surround myself with, since I like to get to know them in depth.
In my home we are 6 members, my father Alex, my mother Claudia, my older brother Daniel, my second brother Christian and I am the youngest. The other member of my family is our pet Max who is a dog.
No family is perfect, and I can accept that mine is not perfect either, however, I love her very much and would give anything for her. We are always here to help each other, support each other, motivate each other and more. We celebrate our birthdays with good decoration, a cake and delicious food.
I am currently taking some psychology courses to help people who need it. Likewise, I am in some pedagogy workshops to learn about the world of children and to be able to do my work as an Au Pair very well. Apart from this, I completed a very nice profession called Psychology, since I really like to help and contribute something good to the lives of people who need it, and I would like to continue completing my specializations in Educational Psychology.
During my free time, I sincerely enjoy K-dramas and those stories based on love and real events, since I am very sentimental and they make me cry, even emotional; I also like to go out with my family to shopping centers or go out with my pet to the park; Also, from time to time I go out with my friends to chat for a while. I like to travel and get to know cities, towns and places. To be honest, I am a person who doesn't go out to parties or clubs, but I really like to dance. I am a good champeta and salsa dancer.
Regarding my experience caring for children, I can tell you that I volunteered to care for 2 children, a 1-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, since their mother had to work and had no one to take care of her children. During that time working with them, I found it so rewarding and I learned a lot about them, how they think, how they talk, how they get distracted by some little thing that happens to them, I simply got to know part of their world. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to work in a re-educational center for minors, possibly you will think “re-education?”, because apart from the reason why they were there, the children were very collaborative when doing the dynamics that I proposed with them. My partner, we studied, we did workshops, it can be said that I provided them with educational psychological help so that they could also move forward. It can be said that the ages of these children were varied, there were children from 10 years old to 15. On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to take care of my cousins and between games, crafts, homework and outings I have really enjoyed the time with them and As for their ages, one was 7 months old, the girl was 4 years old, and the oldest was 10 years old.
What I like the most and what motivates me to be an Au Pair is the idea of helping and supporting the host family with the care of their children. Honestly, this is a great challenge both for the family and for oneself, so I have the challenge and I want to do it very well. The idea of working and being part of a new house with people from another culture, another language and other customs is exciting. Furthermore, it motivates me to think about this experience that will help me in my life project and will make me discover and develop new skills in communication, culture, coexistence, adaptation, among others.
My native language is Spanish and I am reinforcing English classes, but I am also studying Korean classes, it is still basic, but I hope to continue studying and improving the language.
One of my expectations is to be close to the expectations that the family has of me, but the main one is to win the hearts of the children and have a good relationship with them, give them and support them with love, fun and company. I also want to improve my language level and, at the same time, travel and discover new places and new cultures that I have been dreaming of since I was a child.
I love animals, nature, video games, reading. I take care of my health, not only physically but also emotionally, to have a life full of well-being.
