Dear host family,My name is Murilo, I am 26 years old and I live in Taquaritinga, Brazil. I am studying to be na actor and my dream is to be able to make a living from my art. I left my parents house at the age of 17 and went to live by myself in another city to attend a biology school. I lived there for six years studying and living in shared houses with friends, so I get along really well with living among other people. Back in college I joined a samba group where I felt in love with art. After many lifechanging experiences I chose to leave biology and start studying theatre, and that's what I do now.I'm an only child and currently live with my grandmother and two younger cousins, we spend a lot of time together, I always help them with homework and we are always playing.My mother is a middle school teacher, she's 49 years old and she's always in touch to check if I'm fine. She tought me to be strong, never give up and to be kind to everyone. She also made sure I was doing good at school, because as a teacher she had to care for her son's education. My father is a hard working 50 years old man who is also the most honest person I've ever met. He was very rigid with my education, he made sure I'd grow up a decent hard working person. He tough me many things about being an adult and I admire him for being so strong.I have a seven year dog called Bento, who I'm very attached to, we play a lot and he is very smart.I'm applying to the AuPair program for many reasons. First of all, it is something I'll be happy doing while I still can't work in the career I chose. I love children and I get along really well with them. Second, I want to be a father someday, and I am sure this time as AuPair will give me a little of the perspective and experience I need to be a good father. Third, I find the north american culture very interesting, and this is a great oportunity to get to know it better. I want to go to the United States to take care of people, to expand my family and friends, add love and memories to my life and the life of the ones around me. I am a very good driver. I've been driving for six years and I also have worked as a delivery man, so I'm very skilled with vehicles. I have done voluntary work speccially for the program, to be able to fullfill all the requirements there are to be na AuPair.I learned all the basic skills needed to take care of children like changing diapers, bathing, feeding, putting to bed, dealing with bad behaviour, child safety and first aid. I have lot of experience with teaching, back in college I joined a voluntary group of teachers who'd help less fortunate teenagers to get approved in public universities. I also worked as a spare teacher in a public school for 6 months some days per week, and there I had the oportunity to work with many children at the same time as well as teach them biology, portuguese physical education and sometimes arts. I like children, I like taking care of them, I like cooking, I like going outside and spend hours playing with kids, I also like being a good exemple for people I love. I'm already 25 years old, almost 26, I already have some life behind me and I wish my host family would respect my independence as an adult men. I am very calm and lovely, I don't get angry, I'm flexible, I like taking constructive critcism, I love learning and I try to be as fair as possible with everything and everyone. I'm fully commited with the things I engage with, and I have a lot of energy to play, dance, sing, exercise and teach your kids.I respect everyone so I can be respected as well. I don't want to be just someone who took care of your children, I want to build a friendship with the whole family and the comunity, I want to make a difference.
