Hi there! My name is Delaney, I am an 18-year-old female who is from a small mountain town in Colorado. Throughout my life, I've had several jobs, but caring for kids is definitely one of my all-time favorites. I love taking care of kids of a variety of ages, and I love seeing them grow up. I have traveled my entire life, due to my parent's job. In college, I am studying Baking and Pastry Arts at one of the top Culinary Schools in the nation. I absolutely love cooking and baking.
Since I arrived to college in the east coast, I've caught a serious case of the travel bug! I can not wait to travel more and explore the world here soon, hopefully adding the au pair experience to that. I am the type of person who will do anything to make someones day, make the smile, and always make sure they know their value as a person. I am full of joy, and take serious pride in my work ethic. I have worked a full time job for 5 + years, and love getting to explore different types of jobs and the opportunity to meet so many new people. Not much can get me down in life, and I love the little things in life. I have one brother, his name is Jackson and he is 21 years old. He is one of my very best friends, and I am so grateful! My mom and dad were gone a lot growing up due to their jobs, so Jackson and I were very independent as kids. Both my mom and dad are flight attendants for American Airlines. As a family, we have done lots of traveling. All of our love for traveling is what brings us together. As far as friendships, I've had an amazing best friend of 8 years. Her name is Aaliyah and we met in middle school. With a best friend like her, a signifcant other isn't a priority for me. I have the absolute best friends at college, who are all so down to earth, hard working and kind. I am truly blessed with amazing people in my life. Currently, I am a freshman at Johnson and Wales Univeristy is Providence, Rhode island. I am planning on getting my associates in Baking and Pastry arts, and then continuing my education at another school to specilize in wedding cake decorating. Within the next year, I will be complete with my associates degree. I am able to complete this fast, due to the fact that I did a dual enrolment program in high school. This meant I went to a college in the morning and then did my high school academic classes in the afternoon. At high school graduation, I got my High School diploma and approx. 50% of my associates degree. For the past few months, I have worked at a Bakery & Cafe as a Barista. I work around 30 hours a week on top of being a full time college student. Aside from work and school, my favorite hobby is baking. I love exploring new flavors and products, and I absolutely love sharing my desserts with my friends and family. In addition to baking, I enjoy doing art projects, or just being outside. I love taking my hammock out or just ebing outside with my two dogs. I love chill nights in, relaxing with my family and playing games. There's very little things I do not enjoy in life!
