I am a very focused, calm boy and always wanting to learn something new. Able to take opportunities when they present themselves. Dear future family, my name is Reny Rodriguez, I am 19 years old, I am Ecuadorian. A year ago I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and I am currently studying engineering at university.
All my life I have had contact with children and it really is something that I really enjoy. Listening to their great and imaginary stories, helping them understand something about which they have doubts, playing games and having fun is something that helps me remember my childhood and at the same time motivates me to do theirs much better.
I have participated in several school projects with children, organizing recreation afternoons, being a tutor for a day and visiting orphanages. However, the longest and most fun experience has been with my younger brother. He is currently 7 years old and I have taken care of him since he was one year old. Because of my mother's work and her inflexible hours, I had to help a large part of my brother's care and I continue to do so until now. For my brother I am the example of him to follow and he for me is my greatest motivation.
My mother tongue is Spanish, I also have intermediate knowledge of English and I have been studying German for 6 months.
From a very young age, European landscapes have attracted my attention, the contrast between the traditional and the modern fascinates me and I am eager to know and experience these wonders in person.
In the future I plan to study Nursing and then Medicine. My goals are very big and although they sound very distant, he trusted me and I know that I will fulfill them.
In my free time I like to go for a walk to open places to clear my mind, I like to read at night and I am one of those who loves to watch movies on rainy days. I really like swimming and cycling, I also meet my friends to eat or just chat for hours.
The Aupair program allows me to do great things such as: traveling to a country that I have always wanted to know, expanding my language skills, learning about a new culture, having a unique experience that will serve me for life, as well as a year to think and organize my future plans. And all this doing what I like, which is living with children.
