Dear Host Family,

My name is Mariana, and I am a 22 years old Brazilian and future Au Pair. I am a warm and nurturing nanny with six years of experience working with toddlers, children, and teens. I love helping families ease their day-to-day stresses by making sure their little ones are cared for with lots of love and patience. Also, I love to help children learn and explore in a safe, warm, and joyful environment. Arts and crafts, age-appropriate cooking, singing, and storytelling are some of my favourite activities. I also can cook really well, so I'm thrilled to offer high-quality care to your children! 
I decided to become an Au Pair because I'm a trustful person with a lot of experiences with all aged children, besides it has always been my dream to get to know better, immerse myself in a new culture and of course to learn a new language. Also I've always wanted to work with kids.

Currently, I live with my parents, Ana and Marcelo, in a small town called Juiz de Fora. I also live with my two younger sisters, Julia and Marina. When Marina was born I was 11 years old, so I helped my mom take care of her since then. My family totally support my Au Pair dream. I've started working as a nanny to help my mom's friends taking care of their children.

In addition to my job as a nanny, I work as an assistant in a kindergarten class. I am currently the mediator of an autistic little girl, Valentina, helping her with daily tasks, school tasks. I love what I do and I learned from Valentina to be more patient, loving, caring.

Finally, I would describe myself as an open-minded, patient and outgoing person; my family and friends say that I'm very funny too. I enjoy cooking, travelling, and I am a very energetic and easy-going person! I am really excited to make my Au Pair dream come true, and I look forward to helping your children grow and learn in a happy, healthy environment!
