Au pair from Germany looking for a new hostfamily experience, starting from July
Hello! My name is Viktoria and I'm 19 years old. I love Japan and kids, so I really would like to take a chance and experience that beautiful country in an authentic way. I decided to learn Japanese because the sound of the language always appealed to me and I wanted to have stronger ties to Japan.
I have got a younger brother Dennis (16) and an older sister Sabina (31). I live together with my parents near Munich in Bayern, Germany. My mother comes from Slovakia so I can also speak Slovak and I learned French at school. I graduated from High School last year. I am interested in food chemistry. That's why I know a lot about healthy nutrition and how it affects our body. I am aiming to study food chemistry at university. My love for Japan started with anime and manga and two years ago I made a dream come true: Going to Japan. For one month I was able to visit a Japanese High School. It was great! Ever since I came back to Germany I have been thinking about Japan every day. That's why I decided to get a working holiday visa to be able to work as an au pair in Japan. I have had my first au pair experience in Switzerland last year. Right now I am working as an au pair in Kyoto until the end of June 2020.
Since I really enjoy being here in Japan, I would like to stay as long as possible. My visa expires in December 2020.
I did an internship in an elementary school in 11th class for about three months. There I also had to look after the children after school - eating lunch together, playing outside and after that helping them with homework. And when I came to Japan and stayed at a Japanese hostfamily I realized how difficult it can be to look after your children when you have to go to work as well. I really would like to offer a helping hand to anyone who needs it. During my stay in Japan I have experienced Japanese kids - and I was able to get to know and love them. It will be fun telling them about Germany and Slovakia. I am studying Japanese (I would describe it as beginnerlevel) and would like to improve it so that I can talk a lot to the kids and play Japanese games. But I can also do it in a bilingual way like German/English and Japanese of course. (^^) I also have a drivers licence so I will be able to drive your kids to any after school activity.
