Hi dear host family,
My name is Melissa, I'm from Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia, a country famous for his delicious coffe and his (very) friendly people. Actually I live with my mom and my little brother Samuel. I work in the company of my mom and at the nigth I study business admin.
I'm a person that believe that the acts has to talk more louder than the words. Here I gave you a little of my life but you can be sure that in my daily live my actions are in agreement with what I say, with what I belive and with the values that my family instilled me.
To get started I want give you a little review of my experiences and the context in which I grew up becoming the person that I'm today. I grow up in a christian family sorrounded of love. My mother always installed me the values of love, honesty, hard work, love toward your fellow man and always strive for do good.
I remember so clear that when I was a child I love jump the road until my legs hurt and eat a local food call “mango biche”. As time went this pleasures were decreasing (just a little bit) but I began to love take care of children at the point that with only 12 years I began to help In the dominical school of the church taking care of the childrens and helping the teachers with the activities and until these days I continue sorrounded by chinldrens and loving take care of them.
My mom's name is Lina, she works as insurance agent and she always give me tips, she always work a lot for give me the best and I know that I count with her for anything, my brother Samuel is 11 years old, he is in six grade and he is like my baby even when he is not more a baby, I always work hard for be a better person because I want be a good example for him. My father name is Daniel, he has a restaurant and although we don't live together we have a good relationship. Also I have other little brother, his name is Pablo and he lives with my father but we are very close, we like go to cinema, watch movies, talk and always make jokes between us and have fun.
Besides childcare experience, I also love ride a bike, traveling and learning about other cultures, meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences, going out with friends or preparing lunch or dinner with my family. I like read, go to museums, cook and try new things, I love make pasta, cookes, cakes, cheesecakes and fruit smoothies. I find very entretaining teaching children how to prepare cookes and pancakes.
