Primary school teacher called Patricia, 25, looking for an au pair job, starting from the 1th of October.
My name is Patricia and I am 25 years old. Right now I live in a small town in the middle of Hesse, Germany.
After graduating from the University of Gießen with a degree as an primary school teacher in the subject's mathematics, German and art, I decided to take some time off. Before I continue my teacher training in spring, I want to fulfil myself a big dream and work as an au pair as well as travel in a foreign country. Besides I would like to improve my English skills.
I could start as an au pair from the beginning of October 2019 (for three to four months).
I am a caring, friendly, open-minded, outgoing, respectful and responsible woman. Furthermore I would describe myself as a person, who is very interested in new cultures and who can adapt quickly to new situations.
When it comes to children I have a lot of experience.
In Highschool I voluntary took care of a class of new school arrivals (fifth-graders). For one year I was their mentor and was there for them, if they needed anything.
During a summer holiday I was responsible for a group of children, they were between six and ten years old. It was like a day care for older children in the summer holidays, where we played games, had a lot of fun together and did some excursions.
In addition, I worked as a team leader for three years in a group of young people (age 13 to 16) to prepare them for their Jugendfeier. The Jugendfeier (youth celebration) is a festive initiation, similar to a church related confirmation, to mark the transition from youth into adulthood.
Other than that, I helped raising the currently eight-year-old child of my ex-partner for the last three years. Apparently it didn't work out, but I am still in close and regular contact with both of them.
In my free time, I like to take pictures, cook and bake, draw, do craft work, play the guitar (currently not as often as I want to), sing and dance (not professionally but still with a lot of joy).
