I'm Kimberly Bailo, Au Pair from the Philippines. I'm 26 years old and single. I haven't finish my college course but I completed a vocational course in housekeeping here in our country. I have two sisters and I am the youngest in the family. I basically grew up in a religious family because my parents are both religious. They taught us good morals and values. They also taught us to accept and respect other religions. I have a 6year old niece and a 3year old nephew. I spend most of my time playing with them and looking after them because that's what makes my heart happy. I love dealing with kids and I think taking care of those little angels is such a fulfilling job. I want to broaden my horizon and learn other countries cultures and share our cultures as well. We can help each other to learn new possible things based on our culture. I always try to be friendly and helpful and I grow up with very important values. I am a responsible person. Trustworthy, honest, reliable and flexible in any kind of work. I have a "can-do" attitude. I always put others priority first before myself. I'm also a creative and ambitious young woman because I have a lot of ideas about my future. We can help each other molding your children to the most possible way they could be. Hope to meet your wonderful family soon. I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don't want to listen to me. I expect that in the first couple of days I will be exhausted at night because I guess taking care of children the whole time can be tiring. But I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you. Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.
Why I wanted to become an Au Pair? There are several reasons but the most important reason, of course, is that I really like children. I love them because they represent all the innocence which we lost growing up. I love seeing how they develop and learn new things everyday. Furthermore, I have lots of different childcare experiences besides the usual babysitting. I love to spend time with children and it was always my dream to live and work in a foreign country. I have been babysitting for about 7 years. I have had experience with children ages 6months to 7 years old. When I was younger I watched my 4year old cousin on a daily basis when he came home from school until 8:00pm. I had lived with my aunt and uncle. I helped my cousin with his homework, fed him breakfast until dinner, bathed him, and sent him off to school. After 4 years, I needed to go home to my family. My elder sister gave birth to a baby boy. I helped her babysit my nephew up until now that he's 3 years old. I also have experience watching my younger cousins. I still continue to have exprience with children babysitting on weekends whenever I am needed. I am currently living with my eldest sister and my 6year old niece. I looked after her when my sister is not around. I also send her off to pre-school sometimes and accompany her whenever they have activities in the school.
