Dear family,
I am Gabriela, I am 20 years old, I am a teacher of English and French in a Colombian city called Manizales. I am looking to go abroad to learn and explore knowledge, I would like to find a respectful, loving, flexible and above all happy family with whom I share time. I would also like to study and the opportunity to travel and know the country. I am a quiet girl, cheerful, active and adventurous, available to help and respectful.
So, I was born in the south of Colombia, in Pasto, but I moved at a young age to study, now I live alone because my parents and my brother are in Bucaramanga, a city in the north of the country.
My family has always been a very important part of my life, because they are a great support and source of love and tenderness, they have risen me up as a quiet girl, lover of people, animals, social work and also adventure. My parents are retired and my brother is a business administrator, we have lived together all our lives, but for a year I have been alone because I got a job in Manizales.
On the other hand, I graduated from Modern Languages in 2018; I work with children and teens for two years thanks to my work as a teacher. I decided to be a teacher because I feel that I was born to help others to grow, to know and to explore the world.
As I said before, I work with children (from 5 yo), teens (14 yo) and adults (40 yo) in my job as a teacher, I love the diversity that this job gives me, it's for this reason, I knew this program to become an au pair abroad.
I love animals, it would not bother me to have a host family with pets. I do not smoke but it is not a problem either. I like music and dancing, I eat everything (normally), I like nature (forests, sea, snow.. everything).
I have a driver's license and I have driven my dad's car for a while.
I know to swim, but on the other side I'm not really used to cook, I'm still learning, its not my skill, at least not yet!
I would like to go abroad because it has been my dream ... to know other cultures, languages, gastronomy, people, landscapes, to study all that I can and also to share all that I know to the world.
Working as an au pair is the perfect opportunity to complete my dreams by doing what I love ... to live with people, children and share with them. This would be a unique experience, full of adventures, new knowledge and sharing of cultures. In addition, helping a family with the little ones in exchange for a life full of diversity, adventures and knowledge ... I think it's an amazing opportunity.
Another thing is that I love helping with light house chores, because I think that we have the same responsibilities if we live in the same house.. so I'd definitely love to be part of the family and help with everything you my need.
