Australian Au Pair currently living in Germany looking for a family starting in January 2020 :)

My name is Charlotte. I'm currently 19 years old and I live in Bonn, Germany but I'm from Australia! I finished school in October 2018 year and moved to Germany in January 2019 and I've loved every minute. It was my dream to travel before I commence my university studies and I'm currently doing that! I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to work and live overseas. I have a passion for looking after children as I have grown up in a role in my household that required me to look after my two younger sisters from a young age. I am looking to study Speech Pathology when I finish travelling but I want to see more of the world before I settle down into university life. I love being an Au Pair. I am kind hearted and a hard worker who is pleasant to spend time with. I am always laughing and smiling. It would be amazing to meet a family and become a part of your life and for you to become a part of mine.

About me
About me:

I love to dance, cook, laugh, read and spend time with my friends. From a young age I have studied ballet and as I grew older, I began sport aerobics which played a large part in my life and allowed me to travel to Europe for competitions which is when Europe became my dream place to live. In a typical week of my life, I attend school where I study Legal Studies, Business Studies, Mathematics, Advanced English, Studies of Religion and Modern History. I also have a part time job for my parents cafe where I have worked for the past 5 years. I work mainly as a barista but have a love for customer service and making other people smile. In my spare time, amongst balancing work and study, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I live close to the beach so often we go swimming or take our dogs there to play. I also play netball (although I am not very good at it!) Haha!

My Family:

I grew up in a family of 5 (not counting my dog, Orlando) I am the eldest child of three girls. The order goes Me (Charlotte) I am currently 19, my younger sister Sophy who is 17 and my other younger sister, Ava who is 9. I live with my sisters and my mother Naomi and my father Shane. We are a very close family who spend a lot of time together. My parents have taught us to be kind and always help those around you, especially those who aren't as lucky as you. They value education and work ethic which are traits they have embedded into us girls. All of my friends love coming to our house as it is a supportive, happy and loving environment where we are known to help others.

Some other things:

My dad has always had a love for travelling, so I was very fortunate from the age of 6 to be given to opportunity to travel to America. I have been there about 30 times since I was in kindergarten. I am very grateful to have had parents that valued the art of travel as it taught me how to be independent and to be grateful for all I have. I have been to the Caribbean, America, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, France, Austria, Italy, New Zealand, Hungary and England.

My experience working with children:

I have always loved being around children! I have two younger sisters as I have previously mentioned who are my world. Growing up, I have had to display maturity, kinds and patience to set a role model for my younger sisters. I aspire to be an inspiration for them and I want them to always feel like they can come to me whenever they need. I am the oldest out of all of my cousins and have always been the family baby sister! I taught ballet for 5 years, since I was 13 years old. The classes were made about from about 10-20 kids and I also taught private lessons. This required me to teach children from ages 2-16 and was the best job I've had so far. I also taught children's sport aerobics which was the cutest and best thing ever! At university, my goal is to do a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and work with children in hospitals. My goal is to be a role model for your children and I would love to teach them new life skills and create a sisterly bond with them. Not only do I feel that your children could learn from me, but I believe that I could learn from them.

I am currently an Au Pair for an amazing family. I look after a beautiful little 5 year old girl, her name is Charlotte as well! She's become like another little sister and I absolutely adore her.

Why do you want to be an au pair?
I love being an au pair as it not only gives me the opportunity to travel and see parts of the world people can only dream of seeing, but it has enabled me to become apart of another family and experience life through the eyes of other people. Being an au pair has led me to gain more responsibility, that's for sure. I feel like Charlotte, the girl I look after currently, has taught me an immense amount of patience, kindness and intelligence, even though she is only 5. It's a lovely thing to be an influential character in a child's life like I am for Charlotte and I feel extremely grateful that her parents have allowed me to do so. Kids are wonderful and truly I think we can all learn a bundle of things from them.
