Aupair from China, 23 years old, looking for a job with a nice family
In this letter, I would like to introduce myself to you so you could get to know more about my family and why I want to become an Au pair.
My name is Jen, I come from China and I'm 23 years old. Now I live in a small but ancient city with my family. This city called Jingzhou. But I spent 4 years studying in Xi'an city, it's the most historical city in China, and I had a wonderful time there as a student,so Xi 'an can be regarded as my second hometown.
I majored in English and graduated in June, 2018. Before graduating, I did interns in Huawei company, and I was a camp counselor in the states last summer. Currently I reside my parents and my grandparents in my hometown, Jingzhou, Hubei province.
I'm a friendly and optimistic person, I always believe that no difficulty can defeat me. I'm willing to take challenges. And I'm so independent, I can take care of myself and the people around me in any situation. I like communicate with people, and particularly interested in different cultures. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, I respect the culture of everywhere, I think I can learn a lot of things in this way.
I was brought up in a traditional Chinese with five members. They are my parents and my grandparents. My father is a line manager, my mother is an accountant in a hospital. I'm the only child in my family, so I've always wished I had a little brother or sister. Then I can take care of them, play with them, teach them some skills. Although I'm the only child, my parent never spoil me. I went to a place that far away from my home for studying since high school, so I learned to live independently at an early age. I love my family, they taught me a lot, I'm very appreciate.
Last summer, I applied a exchange program in the states to be summer camp counselor, it was the most meaningful summer of my life. I spent the whole summer with kids all around the world. They are campers, 6-15 year old, they attended the summer camp for 1 or 2 weeks. We have day camp and overnight camp, sometimes I worked for day camp, there were different schedules for every tribes of campers, each tribes have 8- 10 campers. I took them to archery, climbing tower, swimming, horse riding, painting etc. And had lunch with them. When I worked for overnight camp, I need to live with them. We live in a cabin, 8-10 campers and 2 counselors per a cabin, as for overnight campers, they can choose activities for 5 periods everyday, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. I can take good care of younger kids and make friends with older kids, when the left the camp, we are all sad. Every time I see the notes they wrote to me, I always remember the happy time I had with them.
When I graduated from my school, I took care of the daughter of my father's friend for a month. I pick up her from school everyday, then help her do her homework, sometimes I teach her English and math classes. When her father comes home from work then I go back to my own home. She's like my own sister, I enjoyed teaching her and she enjoyed my company.
I have many hobbies, such as reading, taking photos, traveling, music and movies. I like taking portrait photos, sometimes I like taking a vlog. I also like swimming but I'm not very good at that. I enjoyed music festivals, especially for EDM or some inspiring music. I love dogs and cats, I think living with dog or cat is very happy.
After Au pair program, I want to apply a master degree about education in Europe if I can. So I want to learn a language in this year, and improve my professional skills. Au pair program will be a wise choice which I would never regret I would cherish everyone who will appear in my life. If you come to visit China, I will be pleased to be your best guide just as you have ever done for me!
