My name is Leonardo, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Brazil. I am looking for a kind family and to be part of them.

Hello Host Family!

My name is Leonardo and I am 24 years old. I am borned in Rio das Pedras on July 21th, 1994, a city in the countryside of the State of São Paulo, where I live until today.

Since I was a child, I have been easy to make friends with children of all races, religion, and social class. My childhood was very happy, with my family always united, with true friends and with joy and innocence that a child has to see the simple things of life! I believe by having facility to meet new people and to be connected to my future family will help me a lot during the Au Pair program.

I have two sisters, Jucelen and Layra and a brother named Charles. Jucelen and Charles are older than me and Layra is the youngest of the family. My older siblings are married and presented me with two beautiful nephews - Enrico (3 years old) and Gabriel (2 years old). Playing with my nephews, prepare recipes and spend hours having fun with them is very good. My parents (Gilberto and Rosana) have been together for 26 years, but it was in 2009 that they got married. My family is very happy with my decision to be an Au Pair.

Among my favorite hobbies are listening to music, reading the Bible, surfing the internet, hanging out with my friends, cooking Brazilian foods, painting canvas and going to church on weekends. In the church, I have two activities that I love very much, which is to participate in the Ministry of Praise as a singer and the Children's Ministry as a teacher, dealing with children of different ages and teaching them about the Bible with drawings, games, movies and songs. The church I attended prepared for this last Christmas a special day in which we could spend a fun time with needy children and their families and present them with toys and food. Receiving a hug from a child and seeing the smile on their faces fills my heart with joy and hope for better days!

I am graduated in International Business from Methodist University of Piracicaba since 2016. During this period I was studying, I worked from 2012 until April 2016 in a construction material store. In May of that same year my parents have decided to start a bakery in my neighborhood, and then I left my work in the store to help them, but it did not work. My ex-boss heard I was not working and I was invited by her to take care of her daughter part time, so from July 2016 to January 2017, I took care of the Manuelle helping in various duties, such as: school tasks, serving her meals, walking and playing with her. It was a very important moment of my life because I was able to mature personally, professionally and get experience to take care of children. After that work I joined a Korean company as Foreign Trade Assistant, where I am in this moment.

About my future, I intend to do a post-graduate degree in Foreign Trade when I return to Brazil, but at this moment I am sure I want to do this Au Pair program to know a new family, befriending children and teach them new things every day. Grow along with their children, will be very enjoyable, help them in the duties and see them becoming better people every day will make me very happy. I like to take good things for people and with my Host Family will be no different. I also want to see new places, cultures and having incredible experiences in your country – United States. I have never traveled so far and I know it will add a lot in my life experience.

I would like to thank the family that will pick me. I am dedicating myself in every way to this program and improving my English daily. I will do my best, with responsibility, respect, much love and with gratitude, trust me!

Best Regards.,
Leonardo.
