Dear Family,

thank you for the interest and time you are taking in reading my profile.

My name is Walter, 29 years old living in Mannheim, Germany. Here I attended the University and studied Education before taking great interest in oriental Philosophy and way of living, which has been my main focus the last couple of years.

I was born and raised by a german family in Antigua, a small and beautiful city in the country of Guatemala. Althought my parents did not marry I always had a great relationship towards my father and siblings. We would see each other on a regular basis and share great moments as a family. As the eldest of four siblings I learned to take responsability from an early age and would help taking care of my three younger brothers while growing up.

It has been almost ten years now since I moved to Germany due to my desire of exploring and learning new things about the world. During this time I have had the wonderful expereince of getting in touch with a whole new culture and the chance of meeting interesting people while living in three different cities (Cologne, Heidelberg and Mannheim).

During my stay in Heidelberg I had the wonderful experience of taking care of a five year old child. I would mainly pick him up from daycare and walk him home and cooking dinner. Sometimes prepare him for bed or even spend the night. We would undertake many different activities like going outdoors to the park, play different games or meet with his friends. I would rather enjoy most of the time as this different activities would also enhance my creativity by taking part in his way of creating imaginary worlds. He was full of energy and loved to play with dragon figures always pretending to be in a dragon wolrd. Working with them was not hard for me as I had the feeling of being one family member more which I am very grateful for. After one year I moved to Mannheim following my studies.

During the time I lived here in Mannheim I also travelled to China. There I was presented with fresh new opportunity to learn more about other peoples in the world and their cultures. I decided then to spend one year in China and joined a small traditional daoist school. Throughout the day we would mainly train martial arts (Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Gong Fu) and evenings take courses of calligraphy. This experience opened my mind to many possibilities and I grew even more interested in their way of life. After this beautiful experience I decided to continue working with my body as a martial artist and learning more about the different philosphies in the world. Ever since I came back from China I have been working towards my goals, one of them being able to visit China again.

I am an early bird and like waking up early to enjoy the day. I have been told to be thrustworthy and patient as I like to take an simple aproach to life. I enjoy the art of cooking and also willing to help with the house cores. I can speak thre languages fluently (spanish,english and german), always open to learn more.
