I am Lulu from Hong Kong. I am 22 years old. I have graduated from university (degree in Business management). I am living with my parents and sister at the moment. I have a pretty large family and we value family time a lot. My mum has 9 siblings and my dad has 6. We organize big family gatherings every 1-2 months, with all the relatives and cousins together. As you can imagine, there are lots of kids in my family!
I love kids and I can communicate well with kids. I am a peaceful and patient person so I prefer working with kids than in a stressful office. I worked in a tutorial center as part time while I was a student. I helped children who were 6-14 years old with their homework and studying. Besides, I had studied Spanish in Peru for 2 months and lived with a host family with 2 girls (9 and 16 years old) last year. I had a wonderful time with the girls! I helped them with studying English and they helped me with my Spanish every evening after my classes. We also spent our weekends together, going to the park and mountain, birthday party with their friends.... It was a lifetime for me and I would love to do it again!
The reason why I would like to work as an au pair is that I grew up with my sister together and I know how nice it is to have a companion with you everyday while growing up. Giving kids a happy childhood is important for cultivating them. However, I understand lots of parents might not be available to spend much time with their kids, that's why I would like to become an au pair, taking care of children, creating amazing memories for them, transferring my positive engergy to them and participating in part of their childhood!
I can help you with taking care of your kids and entertaining them as if they were my siblings! I can also help you with housework if you need! I would be more than happy to teach your kids languages as well! As I LOVE learning anything new, I can always read with your kids! I would LOVE to learn a new skill/language together with them too!
The reason why I want to work in America is that I want to get to know the American way of life as well as different culture. Living and studying in America has been my dream since I was a kid. I am used to watching a lot of American series and movies. I really hope I get the chance to live in the US for at least a year!
