Open-minded french student eager to gain experience as an au pair and spend time with a nice family

I am a 19 year old french university student born to a french father and a german mother. Raised in Sunnyvale, California, I have always been surrounded by a great deal of diversity and had the privilege of having two globetrotter parents eager to show my siblings and I the world. We returned to France in 2004, where I continued to follow a bilingual education at international schools.

I've always been passionate about learning new languages and discovering different cultures. I am currently a freshman majoring in Japanese history and language at the University of Aix-Marseille, as well as learning Korean on my own time.

Despite being the middle child in my family, the birth of my younger sister made me fall in love with taking care of children. Interacting with children and accompanying them through their growth and education is an absolutely wonderful journey. As such, I plan on becoming an English (TEFL) teacher once I finish my bachelor's degree.

Although I would like to complete my bachelor's as soon as possible, I do believe a gap-year type of experience abroad would benefit me greatly; both to gain experience working with children and to experience living abroad as an adult. It would be absolutely wonderful to find a compatible family to offer my services to, and hopefully share brand new experiences with.
