Au pair from the United States. My name is Haley and I am 20. Looking for a nice family to share my culture with, and also learn about their culture! I am available to work from the last week in June until the first week in August.

Dear family,

I am currently a university student in the United States. I am pursuing two degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Criminal Justice. I love to travel and immerse myself into other cultures, that's why I believe that becoming an au pair would be a great job for me! Because I am still studying, I am only available for the summer months - May through early August. I feel that this is enough time to develop relationships and a love for the country I am visiting, but also find out if being an au pair is something that I would like to do again.

I am a senior in college, studying Psychology and Criminal Justice. Within the United States, I live in the state of Missouri - right in the middle of the US. I live with my mother and brother when I am not living in the dorms at school. Though I have never worked as an au pair, I do have experience with children through babysitting and volunteer experiences. Traveling is extremely important to me because I believe that delving into other cultures allows us to grow and become more humble. In 2018, I visited Belize to work on a Community Health Outreach. In a week's time, I taught over 600 children valuable lessons about personal hygiene and sanitation, while doing fun science experiments with them. Working with the children allowed me to see my love of teaching and experiencing life abroad. I also was able to visit the UK and Spain in November. I loved witnessing the differences between all cultures, whether it be food, tourism, or local secrets.

As stated before, though I have never been an au pair, I do have experience with children. I enjoy teaching and playing with kids. Because I am only available during the summer months due to school, I hope to soak in as much of the culture as possible. I hope to teach your family English, as well as learn your native language thoroughly! Basically, I would like to aid you in whatever is needed while forming meaningful relationships that will last beyond my time as an au pair.
