Dear family,
My name is Tiarsa. I'm from the United States, but have been living in Japan for about 2 years. I'm excited to begin this experience and join your family. As a nanny/au pair you can expect me to be trustworthy, responsible, caring and engaged. I have a background in education, so I'd be happy to teach your child(ren) both formally or informally during our time together.

Personally, I'm hoping to meet a nice family with affectionate, bubbly children. (Pets are great too!) I'd love to share new experiences with you and your children while learning about your country/culture and learning a new language.

I've loved taking care of children as long as I can remember. From younger children at daycare, to babysitting my cousins, later my niece, to the present as a preschool teacher and caregiver of 3-4 year olds at an international nursery school.

I graduated university with a degree in Elementary Education. I am endorsed to teach reading kindergarten-grade 12. I am also endorsed to teach ESL students (those whose first language is not English). Since graduation, I've taught elementary school for several years, English conversation classes, and now nursery children. I believe in nurturing the whole child including social-emotional development in addition to academics.

I enjoy the innocence, laughter, creativity and affection of children. For these reasons, I'd like to form a personal relationship with a family abroad and exchange cultural insight, language, and new experiences. Should we match, you will not be disappointed.

I am very open-minded, friendly, and easy-going. I believe I have a good sense of humor. I am lively and energetic with children, yet laid back in my personal time. In my free time, I enjoy trying delicious cuisine from various countries (and cafes), traveling, yoga, and anything related to water (swimming, boating, hot springs, waterfalls, etc.). I'm looking forward to speaking with you and learning more about your family!
