NOW I am looking for a friendly and open-minded host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 12 months and I would love to get along with them to exchange culture and language.

About me:

My name is Lisa. I live with my family in Jakarta. As an Indonesian who was born in Central Java, I become Javanese native speaker and of course I speak Indonesian, and English as well because I live in the capital city now. I also have big interest to learn Dutch and Spanish.

I'm currently studying history in university, but I just need to take a break for a while to get new experience and to learn something new.

I'm a Muslim, but no worries because I'm very open-minded since Indonesia is a country which has many cultures and religions where people can lives together as a nation.
I have some friends from overseas such as Netherlands, German, Turkey, US, Bulgaria, Algeria, Malaysia, and Thailand, until now we still keep in touch. They help me to see the world through their stories, pictures, etc. And we also exchange culture of each other.
I think diversity is beautiful and we can learn how to respect others. :-)

So it's time to me to see the world by myself!

CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE :

Beside go to college I also teach Math and English for children as my part-time job, specifically as a tutor. Teaching experience makes me accustomed with children between 5 year old and 10 year old. I have more than 3000 hours childcare experience with babies and toddlers because I live surrounded by children. Now I'm currently taking care of my step little sister (6 months old) and my nephew (1 year old 6 months). From that experience, I know how to change diapers, feeding, bathing, and putting children to sleep.

HOUSEHOLD CHORES:

Since my mom passed away 10 years ago I used to be an independent girl. My sister and I used to help my dad to do household chores like washing, ironing, cleaning up the house, cooking, etc. After my dad getting married with my step mom I still have to help my step mom to do some light household and help her to take care of my step little sister beside I have to arrange my own stuff. That's why light household is not a problem for me.

WHAT I LIKE TO DO TO SPEND MY TIME :

I like reading books in my free time, finding new recipes (snack, cake, etc) from the internet and try to cook it at home. When I'm getting bored, I usually hang out and go to movie theater with my friends or I will just go outside to cycling around, I also do travel to another cities in my country and I love hiking!

I WANT TO BE AN AU PAIR BECAUSE :
- I really love children and I love spending time with them.
- I have big eager to learn foreign language and new culture.
- I want to know more about another country to improve my knowledge and my experience.

I think aupair is a good program to make it happen where I can live and work with the local people for a while.
