I'm Maja, very friendly and loving children Au Pair from Poland, 20, looking for a job with a lovely family, starting from November 2018 or at the latest from January 2019

Hi! My name is Maya. I am a 20-year-old girl from Poland. I currently live in a terraced house with my parents and pets.

Since I remember my biggest hobby was dancing. My journey started when I was 6 years old. At the beginning it was a social dance, then hip-hop, who stole my heart actually. I was in a sport team at a dance school in my town. Me and my team were Vice European Champion in Children's formation. We had a lot of team games and a lot of exercises that we had to make up by ourselves. I used to go to a lot of shows and camps. It was amazing! Unfortunately, I don't dance at the dance school now, but I still love to do that! I have always loved music, I learned to play piano and guitar. I do not have much free time now when I am working, but I am still connected with sports. I like skateboarding, swimming, cycling, running and going to the gym. I love travelling with my family. We really like camping, hiking and kayaking together. I love to take pictures of everything then. I would like to learn surfing and be able to do more diving.
I am sure that I want to continue my education and go to university. I would like to study something connected with new media, marketing, business or psychology.

First of all, since I remember I have wanted to have younger siblings, because I love children so much and I can truly say, they love me too. I have a friendly personality being open to people, so I think I inspire their confidence. I have always been very energetic, so I am able to have fun with children in no time, making me happy too. But of course I realize, that caring is not only fun. It is important to understand their needs, humor, accept better and worse moods, because they are like us - they are normal, but little human and this is how the growing-up looks like. I wish to spend a year with an American host family, because it must be an amazing and unforgettable adventure. It is also the best way to make my English skills better and to teach your kids some Polish or German as well. I would be given a chance to get to know new culture which will make me even more tolerant. This experience could help me get into mature life, become braver, more responsible and reliable.

I have always had good contact with kids and I think childhood is the best part of life. I always spend most of time with kids at family meetings. Besides caring for younger family member, me and my friends looked after kids in the hip-hop camps, because we were an older group. We organized them evening funs, practiced dance choreographies and even made sure that they had order in their rooms. When I was about 16 I went to Germany, when my mom worked and I started being a babysitter. It was during my holidays in 2016. There were 2 children: Lena and Timo. The girl has then almost 3 and the boy 6 years old. I have taken care of them during 2 months, everyday for 6 to 10 hours. They were very energetic, most of the time we spent playing, running, bicycling, swimming and horses riding sometimes. Lena often got bored quickly, so I had to be very ingenious. It was a little bit hard experience, because it was my first caring, but I learned a lot for the future.
One year ago I spent my holidays with my family friends' children. Julia, has 7 and Michal almost 2 years old. It was about 3 months of everyday care for 6 to 8 hours. At the beginning their mom helped me with care for this little boy, so I can learn how to do that the best. After some time I did most of the duties myself! They were so smart, polite and calm. They loved reading books with me, watching cartoons, playing with their favorite toys. Julia loved asking a lot of questions about everything, so I had to explain her as much as I could. Because of that experience I became even more mature and it was an amazing time!
Children give me a lot of happiness because of their love and cuteness and the childcare teach us a lot, also for the future. It is also an amazing feeling to follow how kids are growing up next to you, how bigger and more mature they become. In Poland I were a nanny of the kids who spoke fluent Polish and English as well, In Germany I were a nanny of the kids who spoke fluent German and a bit Polish thanks to me and now I just would love to be a nanny in America. I would like to live in an American host family for some time, to get to better know your lifestyle, culture, everyday routines. I am a young person, who is curious and willing to know a lot about the world. I am fine with being away either from home or my relatives. Since I was a kid my parent tried to make me more independent, so they used to send me for trips and camps a lot. Nowadays my mom has been working in Germany for 5 years, she is back home every 3 months for about 2 weeks. My dad works in Poland from Monday to Friday, but he travels to customers all over Poland, so he is not much at home. My sister lives in another city, now with her boyfriend, she works there and travels a lot, so we see each other sometimes once in a few months. My brother lives with his girlfriend in my city, but he has his life already, so he does not visit so often a family home. Despite our distances we have great contact with each other and we message over the Internet when we need it.
