Introduction of the au pair / nanny:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details here (unless you are a Premium family Member) DO NOT CONTACT THIS AU PAIR/NANNY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

I'm a 20-year-old from Harare in Zimbabwe. Currently living in Germany and I am searching for a Job with a nice family starting from October 2018! My mother tongue is Shona. I speak English fluently and I also speak German well.

I am the oldest child in my family with many little brothers and sisters(6 to be precise). They aren't all from the same Mother and Father as me, but they are all my siblings nonetheless.
There are my brothers: Sean 18yrs, Joshua 10yrs, S'busiso 5yrs, and Mwenje 3yrs.
Also my Sisters: Matipa 7yrs and Zuwarashe 1yr.

Taking care of my younger brothers, sisters and cousins is the main reason why I am so great with children. I have been changing diapers since before I knew my Multiplication tables and was babysitting as soon as I was old enough to not need a babysitter myself. My grandmother often joked that would make a great single parent once I have kids because I've been practicing all my life (My answer to that is usually ''Gogo why do you just assume I'm going to be a single dad?!'').
One thing that I will admit is that being around so many children has definitely helped me realize that all kids are different, even twins. The way you play with, educate and deal with every child has to be done specifically in a way that will benefit their individual personality. I believe a great quality to have when dealing with children, no matter, if they are a 5-year-old or 16-year-old, is patience. Just to take the time to understand them and their reasoning, and then when teaching them not to do something, taking the extra time to help them understand why it is not beneficial for them in the end.

When I finished writing my high school finals, I really wanted to take a year before starting university to travel, see a part of the world I had never been to and learn about the culture of different people and how they live. Not to mention also have the chance to learn a third language.

However, I also knew that the best way to learn a new language and experience a different culture is to immerse yourself in it and surround yourself with people who it belongs to speak it. That would involve taking the time and money to travel to a faraway and staying there for a long time. Something that I knew I definitely couldn't afford.
That is until I heard about Au Pairing and knew it would be perfect for me. I am great with kids, so the fact that my initial family had 3 children and the parents said they work and travel a lot did not worry me at all! I came over after the month after speaking to them (my VISA surprisingly only took 8 days!) and here I am 9 months later happy I chose to Au Pair.

I was only planning to be an Au Pair once, but now I am planning on starting school here in Europe next year during the May Semester or October Semester of 2019, depending on how applications go. Given the time I have before then, I decided I would definitely love to Au Pair again in a new country before University :)

I am looking to start as soon as possible because I will be leaving Germany soon, and would be willing to come from here directly to the next host family because it would be easier than another long flight from Zimbabwe or South Africa.
