Au pair from Australia called Indigo, finishing high school September 2018, looking for a job with a kind and fun family starting in September 2019 or sometime in 2020.

dear family,
I am currently finishing my final year of high school in a small town near Sydney, Australia. I've been wanting to travel since the beginning of high school, and have for the past year been seriously considering being an Au Pair, as it combines my love of travel and childcare. I'd love to be able to connect with a family in a new culture, and my enthusiasm for trying new things and my happy disposition will ensure that I am a viable member of the family. I'm planning on working for the majority of 2019 in order to save for my travels, and then go travelling in Europe in late 2019- early 2020, when I am 18-19.

I am the youngest of a family of 8, with the significant age gap between my siblings and I making me more independent and forcing me to grow up quickly. I've loved taking care of children since I was old enough to be trusted to, and have been consistently nannying 1-3 times a week for a family of 4 since 2016 (I nanny two girls: The eldest is 7 and the youngest is 4- they were 4 and 2 when I began babysitting them). I also babysit 3 boys under 4 often, who are close family friends. I travelled to Europe once when I was 12, and loved it so much that I immediately began to plan my trip back. I also travelled to Thailand in 2017 with my school on an Outreach program, where we specialised in childcare and teaching the kids English. I love anything adventurous and fun, and have a passion for art. I love people and enjoy being in the outdoors- hiking especially, reading, being silly with the kids and life in general.

I also completed a first aid certificate in 2017.

I am looking for an experience that allows me to prove my independence, grow as an individual, and hopefully make new friends and become part of a new family. I believe that Au Pairing would provide me with a more immersive cultural experience, and increase my understanding of the world.
