Nanny/au pair from New Zealand called Petra, 28, looking for a job with a fun family, starting from 11 November!

Hi, I'm Petra. I'm 28 years old and will be living in Portugal from early November onward. I have enjoyed working with children and pre-schoolers in a variety of settings and roles. Some of these being, an English tutor for a 4 year old Japanese boy, caring for family and friends new born babies and pre-schoolers and as a nanny for children ranging from 6 months to 11 years. I have a great passion for the outdoors and enjoy hiking and camping. I also have a strong interest in dance, languages and other cultures.

I love to watch children develop confidence through explorative play. I believe in creating a supportive, fun environment which encourages children to ask questions about their world.

I love learning who each child is and to watch them grow as I encourage them to try new activities and develop their interests. Some of the activities I like to involve children in are nature walks, preparing nutritious meals together, learning about our beautiful environment, making play huts, reading, arts and crafts, swimming and all in all having a fun time together!
