Letter to the family
Hello, I´m Matilda and I am 21 years old. I am currently living in Timrå, a small town in the middle of Sweden. The last three years I have been working at a preschool with children between the ages three to six. I have gotten a lot of experience while working there, for example I have learned much about patience since my main purpose there is to take care of some children with some special needs. I am very responsible which I think is one of my best characteristic, I think I have learned that from my work because working with children is an important work and you have to be alert and know that you are taking care of someone else's child. I´m a social and positive person and I love working with kids. I have a lot of patience which I think is important when it comes to children. For me, working with kids is something inspiring and interesting, because I love seeing them learn new things and then see their progress. Having fun and playing with kids is also something I cherish when working with children, going on walks, go to the beach, play games or whatever they think is funny to do. I think that it is valuable for children to both have moments where its just about having fun but also moments where they are meant to learn and the time is more controlled. I think I am very flexible and can adapt myself to certain situations, I am not afraid of some stress because I am always calm even though it would be a stressful situation.
I am definitely ready to go away working as an au pair because of the experience it would be. In the future I will study at university to become a teacher so it would be interesting to see a new culture and how school and education for children works in other countries. I also am curious to get to know new people and a family with amazing children!
