My name is Julia, I am 20 years old and I am from Spain. I would like to become an Au Pair this summer (between four and six weeks approximately). Consequently, I invite you to read my description (below) and ask me as many questions as you wish. Thank you.
Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. With regard to my personality, I would describe myself according to how not only do I see myself, but also closest friends, classmates, and family. I am an open-minded and sincere person who thinks before talking. In addition, I have been said many times to be a good listener, who encourages people so that they carry on with their aims. In fact, I always fight for my dreams, the ones I reach thanks to my determination, motivation, effort and love. Physically speaking, the aspect that most characterises my image is my cheerful curly hair, as well as my smile, as I am almost always laughing. Furthermore, my hobbies are languages (so far I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, and I am learning German), music, cooking, going out with my friends, and going walking, an activity that I practice at least four days a week because it helps me to gain energy and peace.
Currently, I am studying the third course of English Philology in Rovira and Virgili University (Tarragona), so during the week I live in Tarragona, but most of the weekends I take the train to spend some time with my family in Vinaròs. My closest family are my lovely brother, who is called Dimas and has 17 years old, and my mum and dad, who are called Tere and Fran, respectively, and are almost on their fifties. To be sincere, my relationship with them is brilliant, I feel absolutely proud and satisfied to have them by my side, and to know that when I need their support, I can count on them. Besides, in a close village from Vinaròs, called Santa Magdalena de Pulpis, live my grandmothers, my grandfather, my uncles, my aunts, and my charming small cousin Aitana, who is 7 years old. Aitana is the only full experience I have had with children, she loves spending time with me: playing, singing, dancing, drawing, going to the swimming pool, listening to stories..., and even doing homework! Apart from that, every single year, when she celebrates her birthday with her friends, I always go to take care of them, and, so far, I have not had difficulties in order to communicate with them or make them feel comfortable.
I would like to work as an au pair, mainly because of three reasons. First of all, I love spending time with children, to be truth, I am studying English Philology in order to become an English teacher. Secondly, I have never been abroad more than one week (I visited Germany), and I would like to practice and improve my English. And, last but not least, I am really keen on learning new cultures: customs, places, habits, languages, people... It is one of the dreams I would like to become true. Thank you.
