Au Pair nanny from Palmerston North, New Zealand I'm 30 years of age looking for a full-time job with a nice family, starting from 19th February.

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I have worked in the childcare industry for over 10 years. Looking after children has always been a passion of mine. I have worked in many different fields of childcare. I have been an early childhood teacher over in Brisbane, Australia for 2 years. I have been a Nanny for a family of 3 and have just recently decided to pursue my career as a home educator. Kia mohio ki te whakapono, Wairau, aroha, manaaki, whakakoakoa, whakahirahira. I have a big open environment in my home, where the children can access a variety of activities, I provide such resources as puzzles, books, painting, train sets, dramatic play. craft and gluing activities, Playdough, musical instruments, such as a guitar, and a keyboard, music is a big part of my family life, and to be able to give children the opportunity to learn an instrument means something very special to me. I have a big open grassy backyard, with a trampoline, fenced area for the children to run around, I have a variety of outdoor activities for the children to explore such as gardening, water play, and sports games. On rainy days, we do baking together, or make playdough, or learn some science experiments. I like to encourage the children to learn and play alongside others, show fairness, and respect. We regularly attend playgroup, and music sessions, this gives children the chance to meet others and interact with one another. My place is a calming, relaxed, fun environment where children get to be themselves and discover who they want to be. The curriculum I provide children helps them to learn and grow in a holistic way, while making them feel part of the wider community, they learn to grow through other people, places, and things, the children, and their families start to feel a sense of belonging, while their health and well-being is protected and nurtured right up until they transfer over to school.
