My name is Núria, I'm 18 years old, I'm from small town near to Barcelona. I'm looking for a nice and happy family, starting on august.

Dear Family,

My name is Núria; I'm 18 years-old. Last June I finish my studies, which were “bachiller”. I would like to study law in Holland, but before I want get better my english and live a new experiences. So thats why I thought I want to be an au pair. I'm from a small town, Sant Pau d'Ordal, which it has approximately 500 inhabitants; it's near to Barcelona.

I come from a big family: I have 3 sisters and one brother. I have two twin sisters Alba and Arantxa, who are 30 years old. Then I have one brother, Nicolau, who is 20 years old and now he is studying cinema in Barcelona. And finally, I have one little sister, Helena, who is 15 years old. In my home just live my parents, Nicolau, Helena and me. My father is a beekeeper and my mother works in human resources in “La Pedrera”, a building in Barcelona. And we have two cats and one dog.

When it comes to child care experiences, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. Firstly I have a big family and I have little cousins so I always have to take care of them or also the kids of my neighbour.
In September of 2015 to June of 2016 I was a basketball coach with kids who have 6 to 10 years old. Then in September of 2016 to June of 2017 I was a monitor in my town. I was a monitor with a group of volunteers, the age of 17 to 25, who every Saturday take care for free the kids; our work is during the week prepare an activity for your group and the Saturday you go with one group of 10 kids and you do that activity. My group was kids whose were 10 or 12 years old, but sometimes you have to take care the other kids to any age ( 6 to 16 years old).
Sometimes I have to take care to two kids who are 10 and 12 years old.
And right now I'm an au pair in the Netherlands, I take care for three beautiful kids; Victor(2 years old), Hugo (5 years old), and Rosalie (7 years old). Last year I chose to go to the Netherlands because it's the place that I want to study and I wanted to see how is the culture, the people, the country…

I also work for one a half years ( November 2015 to August 2017) all the weekends, and sometimes during the week, in the bakery from my town. And since I was 13 I always help my father with his job, I help him to sold the honey in a fair in Barcelona.

I love play basketball, go out with my friends, going for walks, read books, and I love travel; enjoy very much visiting a new place, new culture, and learn all about the way to live from the other coutries, thats why always that I find a chances to travel jsut a few days, or maybe weeks, or months… I take it! I think that the only way to understand that world is travelling and living like the other cultures.
I always wanted to go to America, I think it's a really great country and complitly different from where I came from. And I think the best way to visit America is living with an American family.

I love kids, I think that you can learn more things form them that I can teach them; that's why I want to be one more year an au pair.
Being an au pair in the Netherlands it's being a really great experiences, but I think that I'm not learing the english that I need for go to the university; because here they speak dutch, although I speak english with the kids and with the family. But I think that going to an english country it owuld be better.

After this time being you au pair, I hope that your kids had a great time, learn things, have confidents with me; I hope that you consider me part of your family; and I hope that I learn more things about the kids, about your culture and I live a really great adventure.

Núria.
