Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

We need an au pair to support the development of Sophie, who is currently 13 years old and has a congenital disorder that leaves her with speech and motor skills challenges. She is not physically handicapped at all and is very capable and independent (dresses, baths and uses the loo herself). She is an intensely friendly girl and loves school and interaction with children and adults.
Sophie lost her mum to cancer 4.5 years ago. The family therefore comprises Dad and brother Tristan, who is 15 yrs
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience travel to and life within an African country (Zimbabwe), with the purpose of gaining practical experience assisting the development therapy of a young girl with special needs.

The role involves living with the family and principally acting as assistant to Sophie when she is not at school. Planned development therapy activity after school and during school holidays is ideal.

The au pair will be able to take time off during week days whilst Sophie is at school, but will be needed in the afternoons (from 3.00) and during school holidays.
