Fun young family of 5 looking for a big sister/au pair for our three children. We are an Asian Australian family - sadly we can only speak English having lived in Australia for 30+ years but our kids love their rice and noodles! You will have your own bedroom and ensuite located in separate wing of our house in Melbourne. We are in Malvern East, with close walking distance to public transport (20 min direct access to city centre) and next to parks and recreational facilities. Duties include helping the children get ready for school/childcare, picking them up, bathing them, preparing their meals and light household duties. If you are interested and would consider being our au pair, we'd love to hear from you.
We are a family of 5 and are looking for a big sister (20 years plus) for our three children (ages 1, 3 and 6). We have decided to look for an au pair as we would love some help looking after our children and with some light housework. We are an Asian Australian family - sadly, we can only speak English having lived in Australia for 30+ years, but our kids do love rice and noodles!
My name is Jennifer and I am 39 years old. I work in the legal profession (part time). My husband Lawrence is also 39 years old and works in the legal profession too (we both met at law school in Perth but promise that we can talk about things other than law at the dinner table!). As a family, we enjoy going for walks in the park and weekend brunches!
We have a large 5 bedroom house in Malvern East, a centrally located, leafy, family friendly suburb, It is close walking distance to public transport (with 20 min direct access to city centre) and is a 5 min drive to Chadstone Shopping Centre. There are lots of parks and recreational facilities close by. It is also close walking distance to Monash University. You will have your own large bedroom with ensuite bathroom in your own wing of the house, built in robes, air-conditioning and heating, your own TV (with Netflix, Stan, etc) and Wifi. We have attached some photos of the bedroom and ensuite which has its own separate entrance. Our kids are mostly asleep by about 8:30pm so you will also have some peace and quiet!
Our oldest son Lucas (who loves superheroes and bugs) will attend the local primary school. Our middle son Finley (who loves to sing and is obsessed with shapes) and our youngest child Imogen (who loves to smile) will be attending childcare. Your duties will include helping the children get ready for school / childcare, picking them up, bathing them, preparing their meals and light household duties related to the children such as their laundry. During school holidays, we would need you to look after Lucas occasionally.
We would like you to be a confident driver as you will be driving our children to activities that are located closeby (such as sports classes). We will provide you with use of our second car (a zippy automatic).
We would ideally like you to start with us in January/February 2018 and ideally stay for 12 months (although we are happy for a longer arrangement if possible).
We do not have any pets and are a non-smoking household.
