Having a nanny at home is a very big decision for us. We are not only looking for a helper, but more a responsible extended family remember.
I have a newborn (3 weeks so far) and a 3+ years old. The 3+ years old goes to childcare 4 days a week and 1 day with grandma at the moment. I may consider to reduce his childcare days to 3 days a week. You will be mainly looking after the newborn and the 3+ in the weekends or evenings. I'm a freelance photographer and a part-timer student (from next year), so I will be home at least half of the time. I would love to have someone who can help with washing, vacuuming, cooking and cleaning as well. Willing to help with the house work is important for us.
I'm originally from China and I'm a freelance photographer. I stay at home quite a bit. My partner is an Australian. We have a 3+ years old son and just had a newborn (3 weeks so far). I need someone that's flexible for the work time as I don't have a set schedule everyday as a freelancer. My older son is not at home 5 days a week during the day (it might be reduced to 4 days once you are on board), so your main responsibilities will be looking after my younger one and also helping with housework such as vacuuming, cleaning, washing and cooking. I do go out for work during evenings too, that will be the time you need to help with the younger one. My partner is really good at looking after kids too, but his priority is the older one (when he's home). I'm happy for you to go our and have language classes and do other activities, but I do hope you have the flexibility to accommodate my work and study as well.
As a multicultural family, we are very flexible, understanding, and welcoming. We never argues, we talk gently. During weekend, we love to go market and parks and enjoy some relaxing time at home as well. We need someone that's kind and considerable and has healthy lifestyle to fit into our life. We are not affluent but we are loving.
