We are a Franco-British family looking for an Au Pair from the end of August 2017.
We have three children:
- Constance, a cheerful seven year old girl, who is very talkative and loves to play.
- Arthur, a friendly three and a half year old (four in September 2017) boy, who enjoys reading and is just as chatty
- Elizabeth, a baby (born in January 2016), always smiling and has just started to walk.
We live in Paris, in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris, in a spacious flat.
My husband and I
A typical day for you would be as follows:
- Helping the parents to make sure Constance and Arthur are ready for school- including giving them breakfast and helping them to get dressed. (Constance is attending the bilingual School Jeannine Manuel in the 7th arrondissement).
- Bringing Constance to school (I will bring Arthur to his school)
- Collecting both children from school or only Constance.
- Providing a snack for the children after school and then entertaining them for a while with books, games, play time etc.
- Helping with the bath, as well as aiding with preparing the dinner and giving it to the children.
- Light housework will be asked: changing bed sheets and ironing for the kids.
During the day Elizabeth will looked after by a nanny. So any prospective Au Pair would not have to care for her during the day (save the Wednesdays morning. The Wednesday afternoons will be off.).
I am a teacher, and will be on holidays every 6 to 7 weeks (for two weeks) during which time the Au Pair would only have very light duties and has the possibility for travel.
We would expect our Au Pair to:
- be a native English speaker. The Au Pair will be asked to speak only English to the children.
- have childcare experience
- be proficient in the kitchen
- enjoy going outside and being active
- have an up to date CV
- have good references
We would provide our Au Pair with a bedroom, and a bathroom (shared with the children), food, phone, travel-card for Paris and competitive pocket money. Your laundry will also be done at our own costs.
