Seeking au pair for Danish-American family with bright, funny 9 year old boy. We need help with school transportation, homework, playtime, and adventures!

We are a family of three (mom, dad, and kid, plus a large friendly dog), and have a very smart 9 year old boy who is in the local school's gifted program and has lots of activities after school (swim, rock climbing, groups). He's funny and silly, very sweet, likes to pretend to be a dragon, plays Pokemon and other video games, reads lots of science fiction/fantasy, and does advanced math and science.

We need help before and after school and some evenings, as we both work hard--Dad for HBO, and Mom for a local market research company. We both travel about a week a month (not at the same time), and are looking for someone to be part of our family. We remain close friends with the au pair we had when our son was born in 2007 (she's 30 now or would still be with us!) After she left, we managed by having one parent work at home, but that's recently changed, and having an after-school sitter isn't enough to manage all his activities and homework, plus before school would be great to have help so Mom can get to work on time!

We would provide a car, private bedroom with big closet and your own bathroom, have a hot tub, and pretty home near Lake Washington in Seattle. If you're familiar with Harry Potter, our house is more like Molly Weasley's than Petunia Dursley's (but only one child and one big friendly dog)--we are kind, fun people, with good open communication skills, and would love to meet you if you think we would be a good fit. We are interested in at least one year and preferably two years' commitment.
