Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

Nanny/au pair needed for fun loving 6 year old boy to help us with childcare and light housework. We live in the Netherlands!

We are a small family (myself and my 6 year old son). Since my son was 8 months old we have always had au pairs taking care of him as I am a full time working mother. We are used to having au pairs around, we consider them part of the family and my son has always had nice and sweet young women around that take good care of him. Our au pairs were always very happy with us, we are good and honest people, expecting our au pairs to be kind, helpful and responsible. We live in the Hague (40 km from Amsterdam) the capital of the Netherlands. We live in a small house, 5 min walking distance from my son's School.

I usually bring my son to school in the morning, around 16.00h he needs to be picked up - so morning is always free for you. Then he has some sport or outdoor activities till dinner time. I am usually there and will always bring my son to bed.

There are some light housework activities you will be responsible for (cooking evening meal, bit of ironing, food shopping). We are only 3 people in our household, including you, so this is really not too much. A cleaning lady comes once every week to clean the house in depth. Occasionally there will babysitting in the evenings. There is plenty of time for studying or other activities during the day.

We have always grown fond of our au pairs, and we are still in touch with them. No problem in case you need references. I am sure that being a member of our family is a very nice experience.
