Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

We're an American-German couple with 3 kids, aged 9-14 (2 girls and a boy in the middle). Our kids are also fluent in French, so we'd prefer a native French speaker.

Hi! We are a family with 3 kids. We are American-German but we lived in Belgium for about 12 years. That means our kids speak American English and German, and are very fluent in French.

School in Germany only lasts until about 13:00, so we need someone to take care of our kids in the afternoon for about 6 hours on weekdays. You would have the weekends off. You would make lunch and do the lunch dishes afterwards, drive them in our car to activities like music lessons, horse riding, chess club, make sure homework gets done (this is actually the easy part), maybe pick some things up at the store and provide some company and do what is fun for you and them together (baking cookies, doing crafts, or ….). We would also ask you to make sure the kids have their rooms in order by the time we get home, and vacuum the house once a week.

We've had nannies and au pairs for the last 13 years, and really enjoy the opportunity to find new friends and people who are a bit different from us and who can show our kids another point of view and a different perspective. Almost always they have become part of our permanent family.

We live in a 400 year old house, in a small town named Maulbronn, but Stuttgart is easy to get to by public transport. We have a big garden, too. The forest is a short walk away. Our kids like playing music, the outdoors, sports, singing, animals, flower arranging, and reading. We have 2 cats and a very large rabbit.

You would live in your own apartment, about 200 meters away, which is the upper story of our neighbor's house. It has a separate entrance, and we pay the rent. The neighbor is very nice and also speaks pretty good English. We would provide an au pair contract by the German rules, which means that we also pay a monthly stipend for language lessons.

We would like to get in touch with you and see if we would be a good fit. We need someone starting preferably about 8 August, and at the very latest by the 6 September.
