Dear Nanny:
We are a very loving and active bilingual family that is seeking some extra assistance. We are looking for someone who is VERY outgoing, organized, assertive, flexible and intelligent. We need someone who can keep on top of all that needs to be done, think ahead to what needs to be accomplished each day, create routines for themselves and our daughter, and just, overall KEEPING THE HOUSE CLEAN AND ORGANIZED (this is obviously very important to us!

We are looking for someone at least 20 years old, with NO upper age limit. We need someone who has significant experience caring for infant (our daughter is 8months)! We would prefer to have someone already residing in the U.S., (as we're not interested in dealing with visa issues or working through an agency) but will consider it for the right candidate.
Since this website does not allow us to put in a specific pay amount and provides a rather large pay range, we'd like to talk about it, as well as how we view the salary and the hours that would be expected. First off, we view the pay as a salary, not an hourly wage. There are weeks that you will have to work more and others that you may have to work less, but the pay remains the same. This is how we are paid at our jobs and we expect our nanny to view her/his salary the same way. In addition, our jobs requires us to travel randomly, so there are going to be rare instances where you are watching our Angel all day and all night for a couple or a few days in a row if we are both traveling for work at the same time. But, honestly, we are really not interested in someone who views this as how many hours they have to work, or complain about working too hard; being a nanny and raising kids is a lifestyle choice and we only want someone who understands that and wants to be around and enjoys being a part of our lives. Remember, however much you are working, we are always working more than that - since as soon as you are relieved for the day, we continue to take care of our daughter.
Because of a history of having au pairs & nannies misrepresent their skills, abilities and/or experience, we have created a different method of paying our nanny. Namely, while we will negotiate your initial weekly pay depending on your skills, experience and references); at your 6-month anniversary with us, if you have worked out as you represented, you will receive a raise.
On a full disclosure basis, while this position is ONLY for watching our Angel, we do have three older daughters (10, 12 & 15 years old) that are around our house and will be part of your life. We handle taking care of them, so you will not need to worry about their care.
Basically, we are looking for someone to step into our lives and give our Angel the love, support and attention that we'd give her if we was able to be with her full time. If this sounds like the adventure that you're looking for, then please do not hesitate to reply!!
