Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

We are a family of 4 with 2 children - a 6 year old girl called Tallulah and a 3 year old boy called Rupert. We are looking for an Au Pair to come and join our family to help with the childcare and help the Au Pair develop their English or desire to get work.

We have 3 cats and are happy for someone who wants to experience London who loves children.

School
Tallulah has to be there for 8.40 and be picked up for 3.10pm.
She has PE on a Monday and Thursday (socks not tights on those days)
She has new spellings every Monday and needs to take her reading books every day.
You need to remember her red rucksack with books and yellow contact book. Feedback from the teacher is helpful.
Dress her in weather appropriate clothes and tie her hair up. Sun cream if it's very hot, cardigan and coat every day in the winter.

Nursery
Rupert has a nursery he goes to – Mon/Wed/Fri (Little Oaks Day Nursery) – it is in the middle of the local park and has outdoor play settings all day
He has to have waterproof trousers and wellington boots there all the time
He takes a packed lunch all the days he attends Little Oaks

He has a pre-school he attends Tues/Thurs mornings (Little Butterflies)
He has lunch at home after

Location

We are in Zone 5 and in the map you can see Cheam Station (zone 5) from our house is literally 5 minutes walk.
Cheam station has trains into London Victoria and London Bridge every 15-20 minutes and it takes approximately 35 minutes
We are driving distance from Morden Tube station – zone 4 (Northern Line)
My mum lives 3 doors away in the same road so can help if need be in an emergency.

Schedule & Pocket Money
We need you to be up from 7.15/30am and set up the children before school and after school, feed and bath them.
We are home by 7/7.30pm at the latest
I work from home 1 day a month
We need our Au Pair to take holidays when we do – if it works for both, you can come with us dependent on timing and location etc
We pay £180 a week pocket money and on top for any above and beyond babysitting than the 1 night a week included.

Meals

Adults - if you want to prepare your own evening meals that is fine. Let us know what you like and we will order for you.
If you want to eat with us then we will need help with some of the preparation. Our current Au Pair makes one meal a week – if you want to do more that is fine !
Kids – We like our kids to have home cooked food but on a usual week their menu consists of :-
Sausages and new potatoes
Fish fingers and jacket potato
Pasta and meatballs
Omelette
Shepherd's pie
Spaghetti Bolognese
Beefburger
Chicken and rice / noodles
Roast dinner

Your food –
Let us know what you like eating and we will order for you – there is always plenty of food in the house and leftover meals etc. We like food ?
If you like eating 5 cakes a day or bags of crisps then we would expect you to substitute some (not all) of these yourself.

Car / Prams
We have a car you can use to take the kids to school and on the weekends. We pay for all school related petrol
We would be really grateful if you keep these as clean as possible. We know kids are grubby etc but they do get dirty so if you can help keep clean it is preferable.

Household duties
We don't want a cleaner but we do like the house kept tidy.
The cleaners - Magda & Agnes come on a Friday at 8am for 1.5 hours. They dust, hoover, mop and clean the toilets and bathroom and kitchen.
We expect you to keep your room and shower-room clean and hoovered and changed your bed sheets etc
Tidy the toys at the end of the day – ideally in the same baskets ie – all the dinosaurs / peppa pig toys together
Bring the bins onto the drive when they are emptied (bin man comes on a Wednesday)
Throw away food if it gets mouldy – bread for example
1 Babysitting a week – this doesn't get used every week at all
