Hello, we are a nice family of 5 living in Southern Finland. We are looking for a French-speaking au pair to mainly take care of our kids during weekdays and in doing so also teach them the French language. If you're in for a cool adventure, give us a buzz!

Dear au pair candidate,
we are a family of 5 consisting of mom Saara 36, dad Franck 44 and kids Belle 7, Noel 5 and Liam almost 2. Dad does his full-time job while mom reschools herself to be a teacher. Belle goes to school and the boyz are in daycare. No dull moments to be had in this family! Belle loves animals (we have 2 cats), Noel is triggered by (rock) music, toycars as well as ninja turtles and Liam...well...he's into everything the other 2 are ;-) Language-wise, Belle understands some French, the boys not at all. The goal is to improve this fast by heavy language exposure.
Mom Saara doesn't speak French but does speak excellent English. A perfect opportunity to brush up those English language skills of yours!
Our Finnish-Belgian family resides in a town called Mäntsälä, up north from Helsinki. There is a stretch to the capital, but thanks to the good connections, the capital can be easily reached by either direct train (40 mins) or highway (45 mins). The area we live in is modern and mostly habited by young families. All facilities are available and nearby: shops, bike roads, running trails, play parks, kindergartens, train station and most importantly: play friends! We live in a modern spatious 3-floored home with garden and a little forest in the back. For what comes to self-indulgence, we have our own little gym, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi.
Weekdays in our family mean wake up at 6.30 am, prep the kids for school, drive the boys to the daycare, pick up again at 3-3.30pm, homework if any, playtime with friends and family time in the evening with some heavy duty goofing around before going 'dodo'.
Weekends are much more relaxed filled with anything from playtime with friends to proper family activities such as trips to adventure parks, play parks, sports...
We look for a candidate that is:
-responsible and honest
-knows how to be autonomous and flexible
-able to communicate in English
-great & experienced with children but also strict when the situation calls for it
-able to teach our kids French because daddy just doesn't get there
We expect most of the help and presence to happen during the work week. Mainly be with the kids after school and help out with some household tasks.
During the weekends, the parents' presence will leave the au pair with much more 'own time' to spend on whatever she deems interesting. Finland is a fascinating country and we intend to have our au pair experience as much as possible of it. Furthermore, we are a well connected family in our neighborhood so getting acquainted with many other nice locals won't be the issue at all ;-)
