Nanny/au pair wanted for small professional UK family living in Sydney. 1 little boy aged 6. Welcoming and friendly environment
Hi! Myself (Chris) and Zofia are looking for a new live in au pair for around a six month stay (flexible) with time split between the leafy suburb of Balmain in central Sydney and Kiama, a beach town approximately an hour and a half south of Sydney.
We are originally from the UK and have been in Australia for two years. Zofia lives and works in Sydney in a 9-5 job based in the CBD and I am a pilot so my schedule is a little less predictable. Depending on what you are looking for out of your time in Sydney we hope this could be highly advantageous. We are after someone that is happy to move around a little and this would result in a nice split between all that Sydney has to offer and a getaway down in Kiama with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (see pictures). as I say, its only about an hour and ha half down the coast anyway.
It would be a live in arrangement and all costs are covered as well as allowances with furnished room as well as food etc. at both locations (both queen sized bedrooms and both would be your space to use as you please). The flat in Sydney is ten minutes bus ride from the city centre and the house in Kiama is ten minutes' walk from the beach and station. James attends school 5 days a week from 8:30am – 3pm. We need cover before school until Zofia returns from work in the evening. Because my work days are quite random I often have time off during the week so I'd be looking to have you and James down in Kiama for some weekends and school holidays. Obviously when I am off work during the week your time is your own to spend with us or do your own thing. We very much want you to be a part of the family though so you are welcome to join us in whatever we are doing.
Down in Kiama I have Kayaks, bicycles and paddleboards etc. that are all there to be used!
James is an absolute pleasure to care for and is an immensely rewarding little boy – we are looking for someone enthusiastic and responsible, preferably with experience that can start around mid April. Our current au pair will leave mid Jan to return to the US.
Another good bonus is that I fly corporate jets and go away to locations such as Perth, Darwin, Melbourne, etc. I want to get James away with me from time to time so would love for you to come along and help out. My working hours are generally quite minimal when away and would only need help while I am actually flying (a few hours a day), your accommodation would be paid for and you'd be free to enjoy whatever city we're in when I'm not working and spending time with James (obviously you'd fly with me so free flights too).
