Introduction of the family offering the au pair / nanny job:

SAFETY WARNING: if you see any contact details below, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FAMILY but report it to us! It might be a scammer who will ask you for money.

We are looking for a fun, outgoing person who wants to be part of an easy going, loving family to help with our 3 energetic, fun boys. We want you to be a part of our family and we will help you get the most out of your Australian experience.
We are looking for our next au pair to start October/ November 2015 (could extend to early December if need to) and be with us for 6-12 months.

We are a family of five in Canberra. We are seeking a full time Au pair to look after our boys whilst we are at work. Mum, is in Airport Customer Service and works part time shift work and Dad is a Police Officer who occasionally is required to travel with his job.

We have three active boys, Mackenzie who is nine, loves lego, has a big imagination and a big personality, Cooper aged 7 is our sportsman, beautiful nature with a competitive edge and Ashton aged 6, he is an all rounder, is up for everything but not passionate about anything yet. As you may gather from most of the photos we have placed on the site, our family prefers the outdoors as opposed to being inside, any free time we have we try to explore and get the most out of what Canberra and its surroundings has to offer. We live in a great suburb with excellent public transport. We have coffee shops, eateries, and a supermarket within a short walk of the house. We are only a bus ride from the city, which means it is easy for you to get out and about and see and do things. This is the only city in Australia where you can see native animals such as emus and kangaroos grazing freely. Canberra has a great network of cycle paths, you can ride through parks and forests, past national attractions, around lakes and into connecting suburbs. We also are lucky enough to have some of Australia's best galleries and museums and there is plenty to keep a young person occupied. If you want to travel further afield, the amazing beaches of Southern NSW are a two hour drive away. If you are here during the ski season, we are only two hours from some of the best ski fields in Australia. Sydney is approximately a three hour bus ride and is easy to visit on your days off.We want someone to be part of the family, flexible, who can help with school drop offs or pick ups. This gives you school hours free for the opportunity to see and do more, study or pick up some extra work. You will have 2 full days off a week, not always over a weekend as some weekend is required. Our boys are energetic and fun as all young boys should be, they are best when kept busy with fun and interesting activities. Your accommodation is a separate, recently renovated structure from the house offering you privacy and peace and quiet when you need it! It is a substantial size and has its own bathroom and kitchenette, whilst being air-conditioned for both heating and cooling. You will have a Queen sized bed, desk, television and DVD player and broadband internet access so that you can keep in touch with friends and family at home. We cover your food (as long as it is eaten by the family) and your accomodation plus $200 for up to 30 hours help. The right Au pair for us would engage with the family, be firm but fair with our boys as well as loving and kind. Our previous au pairs would be more than happy to talk to you about their experience living with our family. If this all sounds good, we look forward to hearing from you.
