I live with my son 11 years and 2 year old daughter. We like watching films, series, documentaries, tennis, skiing and ice skating in the winter, good food, cooking, spending time in the garden and we want to learn to sail
Hi,
This job will depend a little bit on what services you can best offer. It would be very handy with a drivers license so you can run some errands, pick up children etc. Cooking is also very useful skill. If you happen to have a special interest like for example sailing, we would greatly appreciate it. We plan on buying a small sailing boat next year, we have a dock adjacent to the house. Also gardening would be a great skill to have, as we have the most beautiful garden, including a tiny spice garden.
I think you will enjoy this job, if you are independent and make friends easily. We try to keep a healthy lifestyle, so spend some time cooking healthy foods. My son is gluten allergic so cooking can be tricky. You absolutely MUST be tidy and organized. Although we live in the suburb around Oslo you feel fairly close to nature as well. One thing that is important to know is that you will be living in a camper van, which will be hooked up with the electricity grid of the house. It will be parked right outside the house. It is a super comfortable van, but without kitchen and bathroom, so you will also have access to the whole house, and of course the gardens. Although it is not absolutely necessary, it is a great advantage with a drivers license. If you want to travel around you can use the van. There will be lots of time off, as I am not to strict with working hours, and the most important thing is that the job gets done, not necessarily at what time.
