Dear future host family,

My name is Mellissa, I am 29 years old and I live in France, in the Paris area. I would now like to become an au pair again, ideally looking after one child, but I am also happy to help with household chores when needed, such as cleaning, cooking, etc.

I have already been an au pair in London during 2024–2025 for seven months, in Wanstead. I looked after a 10-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, and I would now love to have the opportunity to experience being an au pair

I worked as an au pair last year ; I loved the experience and would like to do it again. I was responsible for a brother and sister ; a 10-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. Above all, I make it a priority to respect the parents' parenting style. I am a gentle person who takes the time to build a bond with the child ; it is important to me that they trust me.
I used to walk the children to school, prepare and serve their meals, and play with them when needed. Sometimes, when the parents wanted them to watch television, I would simply talk about the cartoons with them without being intrusive. Otherwise, I know how to communicate with them based on their wishes or needs.

My main goal in the au pair experience is to learn English (or another language) but also to meet new people. I want to evolve in a new culture and in a new country but also to transmit my good humor. I like to exchange and communicate, I would be happy to do it with a welcoming family.

French is my native language. I would like to work as an au pair again to gain a new experience and learn English (primarily, but another language is also welcome) ! I need total immersion to learn a language, which is why I want to embark on this adventure with a family willing to host me. My English level is A2/B1 : I can introduce myself and understand/speak simple sentences.

I hold a level 4 diploma (bachelor's degree) with honors and I completed two years of study at Sorbonne University in Literature and one year at Panthéon Sorbonne in Law.
I also have a certification in art history from the Sorbonne.
