Hello, future host family! My name is Estefani, a 24-year-old Brazilian woman. I'm currently in Brazil rematching and was an au pair in Houston, Texas.

I have a degree in flight attendant and tourism management, and I want to be an au pair so I can immerse myself in American culture, whether in other states or even return to Texas and improve my English to focus on my professional future, whether in civil aviation or working in hospitality.

I have extensive experience with children, especially

Hello! My name is Estefani, but everyone calls me Fanny. I'm 24 years old, Brazilian, graduated in Tourism Management in 2024 and trained as a flight attendant in 2019. Even before graduation, I was seeking experiences that would connect me with people, cultures, and especially children. I've always seen myself as a loving, proactive, and responsible person, with a genuine passion for creating bonds and providing quality care.
I was raised in a large family, with many uncles, aunts and a lot of cousins, which I believe has helped me a lot in the art of sharing the things I own. I was always surrounded by people at every birthday party and I was an energetic kid who played a lot. Two people who were largely responsible for my upbringing during the early years of my life were my mother and my grandmother, and being raised by these two great women gave me one main characteristic: independence.
I live with my mother, Rita Cristina, my stepfather, Antônio Jorge, and my brother, Ezequiel, who is currently six years old. My mother is an entrepreneur and owns a food truck selling traditional Brazilian food. My stepfather is a bus/truck driver but is currently retired.
They both push me a lot to be an au pair and to have a broad future.

My first real experience with motherhood was at home, with my younger brother, Ezequiel. Since my mother's high-risk pregnancy, I've been there every step of the way—from supporting him in the first days of his life to today, when he's 6 years old and has level 2 autism and is nonverbal. Watching his development taught me the importance of patience, routine, communication beyond words, and celebrating small daily achievements. I also cared for other children, including Tales, 6, João Marcelo, 12, and Gabi, 14, during the post-pandemic period, as well as Laura, whom I was responsible for in 2021/2022, giving me experience with both young and school-age children.

In 2023 and 2024, I led a social tennis project for children from underprivileged communities in Rio de Janeiro. It was one of the most enriching experiences of my life, because I connected not only with the children but also with their families, learning the importance of sports and group activities for child development.

I'm currently relocating after caring for a two-month-old in Houston, Texas.

Outside of childcare responsibilities, I'm a homebody, but I also love going out and enjoying life. I enjoy reading, watching movies, visiting parks and museums, trying different restaurants, and in the US, I discovered my passion for cycling! I'm also passionate about physical activity: I've practiced various types of dance and Muay Thai, and I love exercises that combine energy with discipline. I have a dog named Lily, which also shows how much I love animals.

My way of dealing with the world is always valuing clear and empathetic communication. I believe that everything can be resolved with the right words—and the way I say them. I've learned, both from studies on autism and from my own experiences, that routine is a powerful tool for preventing conflict and providing security for children.

I believe that all these aspects - my background, my experiences, my outlook on life, and my hobbies - have made me a flexible, creative, and committed person in everything I do.

I'm an au pair and I decided to be one because I have a deep affinity and love for children, and I firmly believe in a positive and respectful approach to education. For me, being an au pair goes beyond simply taking care of children; it's about creating a nurturing environment where the child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to develop their own skills. I advocate for an education that aims to build independent and functional adults in the future, with strong values and the ability to relate respectfully to others. I believe in the importance of cultivating not only the mind but also the heart, encouraging empathy, understanding, and mutual respect from an early age. My curiosity about American culture is one of the reasons that drives me to be an au pair. Besides learning the English language, I am eager to immerse myself in the traditions, customs, and values that make up the everyday life of an American family. I want to learn not only the language but also the cultural richness that the au pair experience provides. I wish to explore new places, try new foods, and share smiles with a new family. Additionally, I aim to bring a bit of Brazil with me, sharing the warm Brazilian hospitality and the enthusiasm that characterizes our culture. I want to create an enriching exchange, learning as much as I teach, building meaningful bonds, and leaving a positive impact wherever I go. Being an au pair represents for me not only an opportunity to care but also to learn, grow, and share experiences that will enrich my life and the life of the host family.
