Austria

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Belgium

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway and Switzerland. Canada

Au pair can come from almost any country, provided that she meets the requirements of the live-in caregiver programme. See Visa requirements for Canada for more information


Denmark

Au pairs can come from Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and from any EU country: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus (only the Greco-Cypriot territory), the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. France

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia,Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and, under the working holdiay agreement, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Au pairs from Argentina, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea and the United States can come to Ireland under the Working Holiday scheme. Italy

The Netherlands

Au pairs can come to the Netherlands from almost any country provided they meet various requirements. Visa requirements for the Netherlands outlines some of these requirements and lists the requirements for au pairs from different countries.


New Zealand

Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, the United States and Uruguay. Norway

Au pairs can come to Norway to work from almost any country however, it is necessary for an au pair to apply for a work permit at the Norwegian embassy of their home country before going to Norway. See Visa requirements for Norway for details on how to apply for a work permit.
