Dear Family,

My name is Estelle. I am a 19 year old (female) Vietnamese student who currently studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Next year, I will become a sophomore and hope to graduate by 2021.

My background consists of Vietnamese, French, and later, American influences. I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh, a city located in Vietnam's southeast region. There, I attended a French school called Ecole Antonia for 5 years until I turned 8 years old. My time at Ecole Antonia allowed me to view the world through multicultural lenses, through an experience unique to my own . My upbringing was not limited to the cultural transmission of my own Vietnamese origins but also to those of French ones. That multiculturalism intensified when I moved to the United States to attend elementary school.

As far as languages go, I am fluent in both Vietnamese and English. I can read and write in English and speak Vietnamese. Although I can no longer vouch for my fluency in French, having forgotten how to speak it due the language assimilation that followed my move to the U.S., I am hoping to relearn, and am confident that an au pair job would align with those ambitions.
