Dear Family
Dear Family, My name is Maggie, to state briefly I am an incredibly passionate, hardworking, empathetic and fun loving person, I'm flexible and up for any challenge. If you're a family looking for a super talkative english speaker I'm the girl for you, my experience in theater has definitely helped me with that! I'm enthusiastic and great with kids, at any time or place I can channel my inner child (something I love to do ) and my values surround travel, adventure, giving,
Hi all who have stumbled upon my profile!, Here is a brief description of myself, I couldn't possibly include everything so of course if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to answer :) I'm age 19, I have a twin sister who is currently studying Musical theater in university, I also have two older brothers, one is 32 and the other is 22. The 22 year old has aspergers syndrome which is on the autism spectrum, growing up with him was not always easy however i've learned a lot about the complexity of his disability and how to live with difficult behavior as a result. Besides my brother I've had quite a bit of experience with children. In high school I volunteered in a swim program for disabled kids, this program entailed playing pool games with the kids for a few hours, 3 times a week, it was an incredibly rewarding experience. Throughout high school I babysat in my neighborhood for a a few families, children ranging from 2-8years. Sophomore year of highschool I worked as a counselor at a day camp in my home town. Here I was responsible for the nursery kids (1-3years) I was responsible for changing clothes/changing diapers, feeding and playing with the children 8 hours a day 5 days a week. The next couple of years following I worked as a barista at starbucks but over the summers I worked at a sleepaway camp in vermont, here I had a housekeeping position, this included cleaning, cooking laundry, and child supervision. The job of an Au pair fits into all of my passions; working with children, traveling, and helping others. I just completed my Freshman year at Albany University in New York, I'm currently studying child development, psychology and social work, i'm working towards fulfilling a degree in child social work. Having the opportunity of working as an Au Pair both gives me the additional experience in working with children and well as the exciting travel entity, it also is beneficial towards my future endeavors as well as my intrinsic joy in spending time and caring for children.
