Au Pair Visa Requirements for Switzerland

Au pairs are only admitted to Switzerland if they come from European Union (EU) member countries, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Au pairs are required to be between 17 and 30 years of age, unmarried and have to stay in Switzerland for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 18 months.

Permits for au pairs from abroad are subject to quota regulations. Limits are placed on the numbers of individuals from specific countries who may come to Switzerland.
