Children 'most worried about unemployment'

The biggest worry among children in the UK is that they will not be able to gain employment when they are older, it has been found.

A study carried out for the Disney XD television channel found that almost one-quarter of under-14s in Britain named unemployment as their greatest concern when it comes to their futures.

However, youngsters of many other nationalities in Europe cited environmental problems as their largest fear.

"Our research has found that these children have a heightened understanding of socio-economic issues and are already demonstrating behavioural patterns that will have a deep impact on the future," said Victoria Hardy, executive director of Europe research for Disney Channels.

Recently, Shirry Liram from the Language Show stressed that learning a foreign language could enhance people's CVs.
