I am 22 years old, a kind and creative person who really likes taking care of people. I love children and have some experience from childcare from working for two summers in 2 kindergartens, with children in the ages 1 - 5 years. I really liked those jobs! My mother is a teacher for ages 7 - 9 so we have had some discussions over the years about pedagogy and taking care of children. Really interesting.
I also have worked with taking care of old people for about 3 years, so I'm a bit experienced with working with and taking care of people. Obviously taking care of elderly is not quite the same as taking care of children, but I think what the work have in common is that you have to be flexible, perceptive, and improve your ability to see what needs to be done without having to be told. You also have to have a big heart and sometimes a lot of patience!:)
I also consider myself to be very responsible, and I always want to do my best. I believe I am quite a calm and flexible person, and I care very much whatever I do.
One of my biggest interests is music, I really love it! Both listening to and playing, I play violin, guitar, piano and have sung in choirs. I also love painting, sewing, knitting, photography, and overall just doing creative things! Other interests are reading, beeing outdoors taking a walk, traveling and seeing new places and learning new things.
I speak english almost fluently and a little bit german and italian. I would really like to take a language course if it's possible to combine with my working as an au pair.
I live in Umeå, in the north of Sweden with my boyfriend Jonas who is studying at the University. I am planning to maybe start studying next fall but now I want to travel, see a bit more of the world and have some wonderful new experiences before I go to school!
Ideally I want to work as an au Pair from beginning/ middle of February 2010 until the beginning/middle of June 2010, since I would love to spend the summer at home in Sweden.
